We are actively recruiting for the following positions:

LEAD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

The Lead Service Technician will be responsible for installing, programming, integrating, servicing and repairing physical wiring and security equipment including but not limited to: burglar alarms, fire alarms, access control systems, CCTV and surveillance video equipment and other products as required. The selected candidate must demonstrate a history of providing outstanding customer service, delivering positive consumer experiences and improving overall customer satisfaction while maximizing client retention and increasing profitability.

Requirements:
  • Properly licensed in CT and registered in NY; L-6 or comparable low-voltage license required
  • Minimum FIVE years of verifiable experience installing, PROGRAMMING and troubleshooting intrusion detection, access control, life safety and video surveillance systems
  • Knowledgeable of all relevant compliance codes and responsible for assuring all work meets those codes
  • Has general knowledge of basic construction of commercial and residential buildings
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
  • Tie workflow to schedule
  • Manage all on-site inspection, installation, repair, servicing, cleaning and testing tasks
  • Produce timely and detailed service tickets, reports, logs and other documentation as needed
  • Maintain customer confidence by keeping service information confidential
  • Follow all company’s field procedures and protocols
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner
  • Cooperate with the Service Programmer and/or Service Coordinator and share information across the organization
  • Make appropriate solution recommendations based on customer requirements
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Stay current on industry trends by participating in appropriate educational opportunities and reading professional publications
  • Complete other tasks as needed to fulfill Company objectives

Experienced Low-Voltage Electrician- Electronic Security Installation/Service Technician

We are currently hiring individuals for a Full-Time Installation and Service Technician position (Territory: All of Connecticut, Westchester County and Greater New York City area). Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the installation and trouble-shooting of both residential and commercial Intrusion, Access Control, CCTV and Fire Systems. CT and NY Low Voltage licenses and product certifications enhance the technician’s value. We are looking for self-motivated individuals that are both dependable and prompt. The ability to be on-call is a MUST.

Fire System Inspector

Security Specialists is expanding and as a result is currently hiring for Fire System Inspectors (Territory: All of Connecticut, Westchester County & Greater NYC areas). Inspectors daily responsibilities will include but, are not limited to, the testing and/or trouble shooting of Fire Systems. As a leading electronic safety and security integration provider, we are looking for self-motivated individuals that are both dependable, professional and prompt. The ability to be flexible with your work schedule is a must as some nights and weekends will be necessary. This position is part-time hourly and can also be offered as an internship with future growth and career opportunities. We offer competitive compensation packages and training.

Account Executive

Security Specialists is currently hiring individuals for an Account Executive position (Connecticut and New York).  We have found that candidates who have or are looking to work in the Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration/Operations Management and Business Development fields are a perfect fit for this position. We are looking for self-motivated individuals with the ability to drive revenue.  Daily Responsibilities would involve marketing, networking, business development, brand enhancement, lead and revenue generation through positive productivity.  The Account Executive would generate interest and meetings with commercial decision makers on the design, layout, sale, implementation, service and/or central station monitoring of one of our state of the art electronic safety and/or security systems.  Our expectation is for the representative to tailor a high performance solution that meets the client’s needs and expectations.  Positive attitude and the ability to build relationships with clients is a must.  We offer a competitive salary, commissions, 401K, health benefits, company car, phone, computer and training.

Project Manager

Security Specialists is currently hiring for a Project Manager (Territory: All of Connecticut and Westchester County, NY).  A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required.  Fluency in technical systems design and programming with Intrusion, Access Control, CCTV and Fire Systems is preferred.  As a leading electronic safety and security integration provider, we are looking for a self-motivated individual that has the ability to both multi-task and over-see an installation team with motivating productivity under time sensitive situations.  Dependability, timeliness, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project is a must.  We offer a competitive salary, 401K, health benefits, company car and phone.
